If you want a laugh out loud comedy that’s fun for the whole family then boy do I have the film for you. Inside Job is that hilarious. I’m being serious. I went into this film expecting to leave seeing red and wanting blood. But the shit these Wall Street Assholes and their whore buddies in DC have and are still doing is laughable. I mean it is so blatant that I had to laugh. Like when a street hustler sets up a game of three card monty. I find it amusing and ever entertaining to watch such an obvious scam. Oh a ‘random’ guy on the subway just happens to win the first game then everyone else that follows can’t seem to find the queen. Weird. You mean that isn’t a real Rolex that I bought in Tijuana? No way!? I thought $30,000 watches went for $20 all the time. So every President since Reagan has had some financial CEO in their cabinet. Well this of course has no relation to the lack of regulation by Reagan, Bush Sr., Clinton, Baby Bush and now Obama. No way that would be too obvious of a scam.
Well guess what all my fellow Americans, if you think that the two party system is representing you then I have some toxic loans for you to buy at a great price. As the Nov. 2, 2010 midterm elections loom and one party is saying we need to get the other party out of there, I am now laughing louder than ever. American politics has become like Professional Wrestling. Only Pro wrestlers have more honor. They aren’t trying to get you to believe that they do anything other than entertain. In fact why don’t we let wrestling determine public policy? Triple H vs The Rock is like Dems vs Reps. Or maybe we should just cut the bullshit and just form Rollerball leagues and be done with it. Stop the whole Democracy pretense and just say out loud “We are controlled by a bunch of greedy whores! So bend over and take it.” Now go back to watching cable ‘cause thinking gives you wrinkles.
As far as documentaries go it is a well made film. It doesn’t use any Kid Stays in the Picture style, which is good. Because all we need are facts. Facts and truth, which are easily manipulated by media and politicians, but not in this film. It is too obvious. Charles Ferguson (No End in Sight) plays it pretty straightforward and just shows interviews next to statistics. Gives the timeline starting with the depression and all the regulation that was put in place to prevent another one, then skips to Reagan and how it begins to get taken apart. But this isn’t some liberal; “let’s show the right wing evils,” type film. Because that would be false. The reality, that this film shows, is that it started with Reagan and was continued by the first Bush and really deregulated even more under Clinton and then more with Bush part 2 and even shows how Obama hand picked the same clowns again. And the film doesn’t offer any concrete solutions. It’s left up to the viewer as to what the next course of action is. So I say throw your Republican or Democrat card out the window and take solace in the fact that you are getting fucked in the ass equally by both. Because there is only one party in this country and it’s run by Wall Street. This is a strong and accurate statement made by this film. Like elections are just for ratings similar to the Super bowl. The NFL doesn’t really care who wins, only that a lot of people watch and spend money.
So go see this film and see what happens when apathy rules the day. When we have maybe 60% voter turnout every four years for Presidential elections and around 25-30% for midterms it is very clear how rich Ivy League cokeheads can take over. Then PALM STRIKE yourself and vote third party.
