As the trailers might have you believe, Bullet To The Head is a throw back to the mis-matched partner cop movies of the 1980's. You know how much we loved those, right? Chock full of action and hilarity. But that usually relied on both the partners being interesting in their own way. When one of them doesn't own up to their responsibility, well, then the movie gets pretty boring pretty fast. And so we have Bullet To The Head.
Look, I’ve heard the noise. I know people don’t “like” this movie. I know they “think” it’s “stupid.” And “I” know I’m both “overusing” and misusing “quotation marks.” So what?
Once again into the offal of January films, and this time, you get what you expect. Written and directed by Tommy Wirkola, the man that gaves us the delightful Dead Snow, Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters is all style and fast food, and not nearly enough depth to make us really give a damn about anything going on in the film.
...in Backyard Blockbusters, director and fan film maker himself, John E. Hudgens, introduces us to these uber nerds and geeks that have a passion for these things beyond that of your usual San Diego Comicon attendee.Comments ()
